I read a book called Dav Pilkey. It was about the timeline of Dav Pilkey’s childhood. His captain underpants series was a big success.

I learned that Dav worked in Pizza Hut when he was in college. Another thing I learned is Dav’s real name is David.

I wonder why Dav has ADHD and has dyslexia. Maybe while he was still in his mothers stomach,his mother got sick. Another thing I wonder is how did Dav come with the idea of writing a book called Captain Underpants. Maybe it was his imagination.

The reason why Dav’s books are soooo good is because of his crazy imagination which puts his characters in a crazy adventure. He also has a lot of humor which makes his books funny. I like his books and I know many other people like it too.

Dear readers,

I read a book called India. It was about India’s history, traditions and culture. I learned many new things about India.

I learned that in Sanskrit, rupee means silver. Another thing I learned is women live longer than men! It’s true.

I wonder why the rich Indians hospitals are soooooo good? Maybe it is affordable to people all over the world to cure the disease. Another thing I wonder is why does Indian citizens think school isn’t important to girls. Maybe girls are better than boys in housework. So girls don’t go to school

I learned so munch about Indian history from this book. Before I read this book I thought I wouldn’t learn anything from the book because I thought I knew everything. But I didn’t and which was great because I learned new things.

Dear second graders,

It is almost the end of the year! You will be going to 3rd grade! Do you feel scared. When I went to 3rd grade it felt a bit scary. You will start to get used to it though. It will start to be less scary because you wil know everything in your room.Then 3rd grade will get to be a piece of cake.

You will learn cool things and cool projects.One of the projects is called passion hour. Passion hour is where you research about something and then you present it to your class. A cool thing in math is you can put math and bingo together. In math you will learn fractions, adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and more stuff. You will learn things in writing and reading too.

The fun stuff that we did was that we got these things called brownie points. You get to earn brownie points when someone gives you a compliment in the hallway.  You will get free time if you get 10 brownie points. Another thing you get is rainbows. When you line up properly in recess you will get part of the rainbow. If you finish the rainbow you get to play outside.

Are you still scared of 3rd grade?

I read The most Amazing Skyscrapers. The book described about famous skyscrapers. They even put the height!!! It was amazing because it listed so many skyscrapers that I didn’t know!! And if I had to do a project about skyscrapers I will choose this awesome book!!!

I learned that the Burj Khalifa’s height is 2,716 feet!! I thought it would be 2,020 feet tall. I was wrong. It is waaaaaaaayyyyyy bigger than I thought!!! Another thing I learned is the second tallest skyscraper in the world, is Taipei 101. It’s height is 1,670. That is huge too!!

I wonder if there is going to be a skyscraper that is as tall as 100,000 feet. Maybe, but in the future because the book said that technology is advancing so skyscrapers will be getting bigger. Another thing I wonder is who came up with the idea to build the Burj Khalifa. Maybe someone in Dubai because that is where the Burj Khalifa was built.

If we build a skyscraper high, there will be more space for people. When we build on the sky there will be space on the ground too. The disadvantage for skyscrapers so high is, what about plumbing, electricity and metal. Those resources are not infinite.

Bonus section 3 facts about the Willis tower

The Willis tower was know to be the Sears tower.

It was the tallest tower for 22 years.

It is the tallest tower in the U.S.A.

I read The Worlds most Amazing Pyramids. It was about famous pyramids. Pyramids can be made out of stones,mud’s and different things. It can be located in different continents and country’s. Pyramids were for sacred rituals and for the dead pharaohs who lived long ago in ancient Egypt

I learned that there are different types of pyramids. They are circular and and triangular. Wow many types of pyramids !! Another thing I learned is the highest pyramid in Tikal Guatemala stands at 213 feet. That is high!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder why people are now stealing things from pyramids! Maybe to stop that cause someone is going to bomb the pyramid so no one can steal the riches.  Another thing I wonder is are people going to build pyramids now? Maybe not because people these days are too advanced to build a pyramid. Probably people will do harder challenges than building a pyramid.

Dear readers,

I read Captain Underpants and the Tyrannical Retaliation of the Turbo Toilet 2000. It was about this toilet who was alive and wanted to take over the world. Captain Underpants, George,Harold, Yesterday George and Harold (George and Harold went back in time and created Yesterday George and Harold.)  helped Captain Underpants to destroy the Turbo Toilet 2000.

My favorite part is when the author puts Flip O Rama because he does funny things like when you flip the pages it looks like a cartoon. One Flip O Rama shows Captain Underpants spanking the Turbo Toilet 2000 in the butt!!! My other favorite part is when the Turbo toilet dissemble the Robo plunger because he does mechanical engineering. I like mechanical engineering.

Two traits about George and Harold are they are both funny because they change signs on boards. One sign said Canned Barf Day. It was supposed to say Candy Bar Fund Raiser.They are smart because when the Turbo Toilet 2000 was attacking, they took 2 grills, some Cardboard boxes, spray paint, ingenuity and duck tape and they made two talking toilets.(You need to read book two to know about that)

I read Shattering Earthquakes. It was about earthquakes. The book said where did the earthquakes happen, how it happened, and things we can do to be safe.

I learned people use the Richter scale to measure an earthquake’s force. Another thing I learned is Seismologists use Seismometers to see if an earthquake is near.

I wonder if an earthquake can sink a continent. Maybe it can because in the future Earthquakes could get stronger. Another thing I wonder is why does the schools in China have weak walls. Maybe the governor doesn’t have the money to build better walls.

If there was an earthquake I would go under a table and take pillows as a protection if an Earthquake is near.

I read Benji Franklin Kid Zillionaire Investing Well. It was about this kid named Benji who fights crime and does top secret mission.

My favorite part is when Benji goes on a rocket ship because I thought he never would go to space to find out what the criminal was doing. My other favorite part is when he finally figures out that his mentor was the thief because Benji was like What!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two character traits about Benji is he is smart because he made his own rocket ship, submarine and many more things. I think Benji is a convincer because he convinces his principal to make her students to help Benji on his quest.

Dear readers

I read The Titanic’s Crew. It was about its crew. First it talked who they are. Then it said what do they do in the Titanic. Next it said how it sank. First an iceberg crashed into it. It made holes as big as a doorway. That is how the titanic sank. Finally it said how many people died.

My favorite part is when this guy jumped off the Titanic and landed on a flipped lifeboat. I like that because that was heroic and it reminds me of movies when someone jumps of a cliff. My other favorite part is when musicians played to the first class people because it makes them like king and queen. My sister acts like a queen which makes me laugh.

I wonder why the radio guy didn’t send the message to the captain saying there is big iceberg’s near the ship. Maybe he didn’t think it was important. Another thing I wonder is how big the iceberg was? Maybe it was 50 feet or something like that.

My theory how the Titanic sank was when the iceberg formed little holes in the bottom of the ship. It equaled as big as a doorway! Then  the water was on one side so the Titanic tilted upwards. Finally it cracked in half, so it sank.

Dear Readers,

I read the Pokemon Duluxe Essential Handbook. It was about Pokemon.There are different typesof Pokemon such as dragon and fire types. The book told about where the came from, what attacks they do,their height and weight.

My favorite part in the book is when they pronounce the spelling because me and my friends kept arguing about the pronunciation of a certain Pokemon.

My favorite Pokemon is Tyrantrum because he is strong for a stage 1. I also like Rapidash because he is fast and I think I am fast at running too.

I wonder if the creators of Pokemon will make a 2050 Pokemon duluxe essential handbook. Maybe they are because Pokemon lasted about 20 years. Another thing I wonder is who created this book.
